Advance Tax Payment in Ranchi
Pay the right amount of advance tax at the right time. We estimate your income, calculate your instalments and remind you before every due date.
Pay as you earn, without surprises
Advance tax means paying your income tax during the year in instalments, instead of one large payment at the end. It applies to income that is not fully covered by TDS, such as business profits, professional fees, rent, interest and capital gains.
Underpaying or paying late attracts interest. We estimate your tax liability, plan your instalments, generate the challans and review your position as the year progresses, so your final return has no surprises.
Who needs to pay advance tax
- Taxpayers whose estimated tax for the year, after TDS, is ₹10,000 or more

Common questions
Who has to pay advance tax?
Anyone whose estimated tax for the year, after TDS, is ₹10,000 or more. This commonly includes business owners, professionals and people with significant non-salary income.
What happens if I miss an advance tax instalment?
Interest is charged for late or short payment. You can still pay after the due date, which reduces further interest, so do not wait for the next instalment.
Do salaried people need to pay advance tax?
Usually not, because the employer deducts TDS. But if you have substantial income from other sources and the tax is not fully covered, you may need to.
How is advance tax paid?
Online through the e-Pay Tax facility on the income tax portal, using a challan generated for the correct tax year. We prepare and guide you through it.
Can I adjust the amount later in the year?
Yes. If your income changes, you can revise your estimate and adjust later instalments. The final instalment is due by 15 March.
