Contractor Registration in Ranchi

Want to bid for government works? We prepare your documents and complete your enlistment as a registered contractor with the right department and class.

Overview

Qualify to bid for government works

Government departments and agencies generally invite tenders only from contractors who are enlisted with them. Registration places you in a class based on your financial capacity, experience, machinery and technical staff, which decides the size of works you can bid for.

Each department has its own rules and forms. We study the requirements, arrange your documents such as financial statements, experience certificates and technical staff details, complete the online application and follow it through to the registration certificate.

FAQs

Common questions

Is contractor registration the same in every state?

No. Each department and state has its own rules, classes and fees. We confirm the requirements of the department you want to work with.

How is the class decided?

Usually by your financial capacity, past experience in similar works, machinery and technical staff. Higher classes can bid for bigger works.

Do I need a CA certificate?

Departments commonly ask for a turnover and net worth certificate from a Chartered Accountant. We can help you prepare the data for it.

Is this the same as a contract labour licence?

No. Contractor registration is for bidding on government works. A labour licence is a separate requirement if you engage contract labour. We can help with both.

Can a new contractor with no experience register?

Some departments have lower classes for new contractors, but requirements differ. We tell you what is possible for your case.

This page is general guidance as we understand current rules. Government fees, thresholds, forms and portals change, and several of these rules were revised in 2025 and 2026, so we confirm the latest requirements for your case before we begin.
