FSSAI Registration and Food Licence in Ranchi
Every food business needs an FSSAI registration or licence. We find the right category for your turnover and activity, and complete the application on the FoSCoS portal.
Sell food legally and safely
The Food Safety and Standards Act requires every food business, from a home kitchen or street vendor to a manufacturer or restaurant, to be registered or licensed with FSSAI. Which one you need depends mainly on your annual turnover and the kind of business.
From 1 April 2026, FSSAI raised the turnover limits and made new registrations and licences valid without a fixed expiry date. We check the right category, prepare your documents, apply on the FoSCoS portal and guide you on the ongoing requirements.
Choosing between registration and licence
- Basic registration (Form A): annual turnover up to ₹1.5 crore, such as small shops, home kitchens and street vendors
- State licence (Form B): turnover above ₹1.5 crore and up to ₹50 crore, such as larger restaurants, manufacturers and distributors
- Central licence: turnover above ₹50 crore, and certain activities such as importers and some multi-state or e-commerce food businesses
