MSME (Udyam) Registration in Ranchi

Get your business officially recognised as a micro, small or medium enterprise. We complete your Udyam registration so you can access loans, schemes and payment protection.

Overview

Official recognition that unlocks real benefits

Udyam registration is the government’s official registration for micro, small and medium enterprises, replacing the old Udyog Aadhaar. It is completed online on the Udyam portal, is free of government fee and is based on Aadhaar and PAN, with data fetched from tax records.

The certificate helps you get collateral-free loans, priority lending from banks, protection against delayed payments from buyers, concessions on government tenders and lower fees on some intellectual property filings. We prepare the application, choose the correct activity codes and make sure your details are accurate.

FAQs

Common questions

Is there a government fee for Udyam registration?

No. Registration on the official portal is free. Some websites charge for it, so be careful. Our charges are for preparing and filing, and we tell you the cost upfront.

What are the current MSME limits?

Micro: investment up to ₹2.5 crore and turnover up to ₹10 crore. Small: up to ₹25 crore and ₹100 crore. Medium: up to ₹125 crore and ₹500 crore. These apply from 1 April 2025, and both limits must be met.

Do I need GST for Udyam registration?

GST is not required for every business, but where you are registered under GST, the number must be given. PAN is mandatory.

Is Udyam registration valid forever?

The registration is permanent, but your details should be kept up to date as your investment, turnover or activity changes.

What is the 45-day payment rule?

Buyers must pay registered micro and small suppliers within the legal time limit, and delayed payments can affect the buyer’s tax deduction. This makes Udyam registration valuable for suppliers.

Can I hold both Udyam and Udyog Aadhaar?

Udyog Aadhaar and UAM are no longer valid. Businesses need a fresh Udyam registration.

This page is general guidance as we understand current rules. Government fees, thresholds, forms and portals change, and several of these rules were revised in 2025 and 2026, so we confirm the latest requirements for your case before we begin.
