12A and 80G Registration in Ranchi
Get income tax exemption for your NGO and tax deductions for your donors. We prepare and file your applications and manage renewals.
Tax benefits that help you raise funds
12A registration lets a trust, society or Section 8 company claim income tax exemption on income applied to its charitable objects. 80G approval lets donors claim a deduction on donations. Most donors, CSR funders and grant makers expect both.
New organisations first receive provisional registration valid for 3 years through Form 10A, and later apply for regular registration through Form 10AB. We prepare the applications, answer queries from the department and track renewals. Existing registrations continue under the new Income-tax Act, 2025.

Common questions
What is the difference between 12A and 80G?
12A exempts the NGO’s own income from tax. 80G lets donors deduct their donations. Most NGOs need both.
How long are 12A and 80G valid?
New NGOs get provisional registration for 3 years, then regular registration, which must be renewed. Recent changes extended the period for some smaller trusts, so check your order or ask us.
Is there a government fee?
No fee is payable to the department for Form 10A or 10AB. Professional charges depend on your case.
Can we apply for 80G without 12A?
The two are usually applied for together, and 12A is generally a prerequisite for 80G.
What if my registration has expired?
Apply for renewal immediately and talk to us. Missing the renewal can affect the exemption and donors’ deductions.
This page is general guidance as we understand current law and procedures. Rules, forms, fees and due dates change, and many details vary by state, so we confirm the latest requirements for your organisation before we begin. India’s new Income-tax Act, 2025 applies from 1 April 2026, so form and section numbers may change.
