NGO Compliance in Ranchi

Keep your trust or society fully compliant, so your tax exemption and donor approvals stay safe. We handle audit, returns, donor statements and renewals.

Overview

Protect your exemption and your donors’ deductions

Registered NGOs enjoy income tax exemption and give donors tax deductions, but only if they keep up with compliance. Missing audits, returns or donor statements can lead to penalties, loss of exemption or loss of 12A and 80G status.

We prepare your books, coordinate the audit, file your return, handle donor reporting and track the renewal of your 12A and 80G registrations. We also take care of filings with the Registrar of Societies, where applicable.

FAQs

Common questions

Do all NGOs need an audit?

A registered trust or institution whose income exceeds the basic exemption limit before applying exemptions must have its accounts audited, with the report in Form 10B or 10BB. We confirm what applies to you.

What happens if I do not file the donation statement?

Donors may not get credit for their donations, and penalties can apply. Form 10BD and 10BE must be issued on time.

When does my 12A and 80G registration expire?

It depends on your approval order. Provisional registration is valid for 3 years and regular registration for a longer period, and renewal in Form 10AB must be applied for well before expiry. Check your certificate or ask us.

We have missed several years of filings. Can you help?

Yes. We review the gaps, prepare the pending returns and reports, and advise on penalties and any relief options.

Do NGOs have to file GST returns?

Only if they are registered under GST, for example because they supply taxable services above the limits. We review your case.

This page is general guidance as we understand current law and procedures. Rules, forms, fees and due dates change, and many details vary by state, so we confirm the latest requirements for your organisation before we begin. India’s new Income-tax Act, 2025 applies from 1 April 2026, so form and section numbers may change.
