Trademark Watch in Ranchi
Protect your brand from copycats. We monitor the Trade Marks Journal for similar marks and alert you in time to oppose them.
Spot conflicts before they become registrations
After a trademark application is accepted, it is published in the Trade Marks Journal. For a limited period, anyone who believes it conflicts with their rights can file an opposition. If you miss this window, a confusingly similar mark can be registered, and challenging it later is harder and costlier.
Our watch service monitors the Journal and new filings for marks similar to yours and alerts you promptly. We then advise whether to oppose, send a notice or take no action, and we prepare the opposition if you decide to proceed.

Common questions
What is an opposition?
It is a formal objection filed by a third party within a set time after a mark is published, arguing that it should not be registered. The usual window is four months from publication.
Why do I need a watch service?
The Registry does not notify you when someone files a similar mark. Without monitoring, you may only discover it after registration.
What happens when you find a conflicting mark?
We alert you with details and advise. You can oppose, negotiate with the other party, send a notice or choose not to act.
Is a watch only for registered marks?
It is useful for registered and pending marks. Pending marks need extra care, because rights are not yet fully granted.
Can I stop the service any time?
Yes. Tell us what scope and period suits you.
This page is general guidance based on the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and the Trade Marks Rules, 2017 as we understand them. Government fees, forms, timelines and procedures change, and every case is different, so we confirm the latest position for your mark before we begin. We are not a law firm, and outcomes before the Registry cannot be guaranteed.
